This new 352-bed medium/maximum security jail includes housing, kitchen, laundry, intake/booking, and administration spaces.
Systems included a custom 5-node graphic touch screen graphic computer systems for door monitoring and controls, intercom and paging systems, duress alarm monitoring, and CCTV system camera selection with digital video recording, and video visitation systems.
Each of the systems was fully integrated through the use of a PLC with redundant processors and power supplies fed from an Uninterruptible Power Supply system which provides reliable and conditioned power. Recording systems include general surveillance at a low resolution and frame rate, and high (4CIF @ 30 fps) for all video and audio associated with door control and all alarm conditions. Auxiliary controls of power, lighting of dayrooms and cells, domestic water, HVAC fan controls for gas exhaust, and inmate telephone control were also included.
Also, courtroom A/V renovation designs were provided to support the future new county-wide video arraignment systems. HK’s design contract was extended to include a variety of commissioning services including postconstruction and warranty commissioning services. The above systems were powered by UPS systems. Other systems include CATV distribution and access control system.
This project was done simultaneously to the existing Jail Security Electronics Replacement Project also provided by HK.
